Characteristics and advantages of peristaltic pump

      The peristaltic pump provides excellent solution to the problem of pumping the solution, especially when the pumped product is particularly abrasive, corrosive or viscous. Their lack of valves, seals and sealed tubes make maintenance costs low, only the hose or pipe is the maintenance project. The peristaltic pump also has a mild pumping effect, making it ideal for shear-sensitive polymers and fragile cell culture. Finally, the only part of the pump in contact with the pumped fluid is the inside of the tube or hose, making it easy to disinfect and clean the inner surface of the pump.

No seal design

The peristaltic pump is not sealed to avoid problems such as corrosive chemical leakage and ongoing maintenance.

Low maintenance costs 

The only replacement part is a hose or tube, which is a relatively low cost item that can be easily changed in a short time. 

Dry run and suck

The peristaltic pump does not require pumping fluid to persist the pump can run dry without the need for expensive downtime or repair. The recovery of the hose or tube produces a strong self-priming action and allows the pump to move the liquid containing the trapped air or the liquid that can discharge the gas. 

Moderate pumping action

The peristaltic pump has a mild low shear pumping effect and is ideal for shear sensitive products including flocculants and broth

High suction lift

The powerful suction provided by the recovery of the regenerative hose allows the hose pump to lift up to 9.5 m of water.

Wearable 

The hose life is independent of the abrasive quality of the product. Hoses are only malfunctioning due to fatigue or chemical action.

Solid treatment

Verderflex hose pumps can pump up to 80% inorganic solids or 15% organic sludge. 

Reversible

The peristaltic pump is reversible and can be used to empty the pipeline or remove the blockage

No slippery

These pumps do not have internal reflow, providing accurate measurement without sliding
